ACP has been involved in a number of retail and restaurant rollouts. We enjoy the challenge of these projects and helping our clients stay on schedule and open on time.
Early on, we worked with McDonald’s Corporation on over 27 new building sites, submitting both site and building plans for review and permitting, coordinating revisions and doublechecking to make sure that issues had been properly addressed prior to resubmittal. We also assisted with getting interparcel access agreements, and subdivision of a parcel, which resulted in a $200,000 added profit on the deal as a result of the sale of the split off parcel.
We permitted almost two dozen Kinko’s retail outlets during their Atlanta rollout. We did eight LA Fitness locations in Atlanta. We did 21 Drs. Vision Works more recently.
We permitted seven freestanding Circuit Citys and a couple of dozen Eckerd’s Drug Stores.
For a two year period, we permitted every restaurant done by Brinker International in the metro Atlanta area, which amounted to 21 freestanding sites. We solved various problems during this time, including a restaurant that had no access to sewer at Mall of Georgia, and which required an easement from the adjacent owner.
Last year, we permitted twelve Five Guys and a Burger locations, ranging from Louisville Kentucky to Alabama, Tennessee and metro Atlanta.
Our most challenging project to date was permitting renovations and additions on 45 metro area Pizza Huts to add the WingStreet concept. We accomplished this in just 8 weeks! The scope of work ranged from simple interior work, to projects where additions to the building were being made.
We’ve obtained variances, resolved moratorium issues, represented the client at neighborhood meetings and design boards.
